We offer:Competitive compensation and rewardsBest-in-class healthcare for you and your familyPowerful savings programsTraining and career progressionLicensed Boiler OperatorStarting Pay: $30.00- $31.00 per hour DOE$1.00 Night Shift DifferentialNew Hire Sign-On/Retention Bonus: $1,500 Total ($250 paid after 30 days, $500 retention bonus paid at 6 months, $750 retention bonus paid at 1 year)Shift Hours: 5pm to 5:30am (2on 3 off/3off 2on Rotating schedule)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Monitor boilers for proper water level, pressure and efficient operation.Test boiler feed water and condensate and log results.Blow down boilers per schedule.Monitor the ammonia (refrigeration) system.Monitor the plant compressed air system.Complete assigned PM's and tasks in a timely manner.Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.Lifting heavy objects, painting, cleaning.Participate in cost reduction/continuous improvement activities.Participate in the plant safety program, including timely completion of safety training.Perform all duties safely, following all safety programs, to prevent injuries to self and others.Report all injuries and property loss incidents, including spills.Follow all sanitation and quality SOP's to ensure all equipment is clean and ready for production.LEAN Manufacturing - Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving.Participate in 5S program to contribute to a safe and organized work environment.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines and LQMS requirementsDemonstrate working knowledge of boiler room operations and overall production processEducation/ Experience:High School diploma or equivalentMN First Class 1B Engineers license or greater requiredSkills/ Abilities:Mechanical aptitudeAbility to learn complex physics of large ammonia refrigeration systemKnowledge of and ability to learn, personal computers and software related to suchContributes in a team environmentAble to perform basic math equationsCommunicates effectively to ensure product flow to next work stationUtilizes problem solving skills, applies creative thinking, uses resources, and makes effective decisionsEffectively plans and organizesEnsures a safe and organized work environment for self and othersAbility to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidaysAbility to learn new skills and adapt to change as the organization continues to improve processesMaintains prompt and regular job attendanceAbility to read and write effectively in EnglishLand O'Lakes, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) M/F/Vets/Disabled.
