Graceville is a city located on the stunning Toqua Lake, which Graceville celebrates every year with Toqua Days.The city also has a rich Irish history, since it was founded by Irish priests in the late 1800s. This means Graceville’s Saint Patrick’s Day celebration is not to be missed. Graceville is a city full of culture, and celebrations, as well as recreational activities.
Toqua Lake
The shore of Toqua Lake is at the southwest side of Graceville, and is home to lots of activities! In Toqua Park, there are eighteen campsites with electricity, restroom facilities, and showers. There are also a lovely swimming beach, a boat launch, a playground, picnic area, and even two softball fields. A second park also sit on the shore of Toqua Lake, Lake View Park, and has a skate park, basketball and tennis courts, a picnic shelter, and a beautiful playground.

Toqua Days
Toqua Lake plays a key role in the community, and is celebrated every year during Toqua Days. This summer event is fun for adults and children alike, and provides days of events and activities. There is a softball tournament, a dance, tons of food and community meals, a pedal pull for kids, and a huge parade, and other performances.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
With such a rich Irish history, it is no surprise that Graceville goes all out for St. Patrick’s Day. It is the perfect event to kick off the spring season! There is always a huge parade through town during the day, and a community supper in the evening. In 2016, there was also a pub crawl that also helped to raise money for new benches in the city parks. Participants even got a commemorative t-shirt, too.
