Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Livestock Workers/Ranch Hands to work in Marietta, MN and Big Stone City, SD. From: 12/01/2025 to 07/01/2026 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Must Apply By: 03/18/2026 JOB DUTIES: Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Fall cattle work/pregnancy. Operate snow removal equipment in order to operate feed wagons. Mix feed and additives, maintain heated watering system, fill feed troughs with feed and water for livestock. Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries. Vaccinate animals, apply medications to cuts and bruises, spray livestock with insecticide. Wash and clip livestock to prepare them for calving. Assist veterinarian in delivery of offspring. Clean livestock stalls and sheds, using disinfectant solutions, bushes and shovels. Maintain buildings. Maintain breeding, feeding and costs records. Drive to town to pick up cattle supplies. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads and a criminal background check post hire at employer's expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
