This position is a temporary unclassified position and is anticipated to end: March 2027. This position assists with grant project management and administration at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, working toward achieving strategic initiatives that prevent and reduce pollution, including mitigating climate impacts and impacts to environmental justice areas. This position will work with senior project managers, agency leadership, fiscal staff, grant project teams, and grantees to promote the grant program, write requests for proposals, evaluate potential grant projects, distribute and monitor grant funds, and help with general administration and reporting duties. This position is responsible for following the agency’s grant-making processes and procedures and for ensuring compliance with federal and state grant making and reporting requirements. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in a field of study related to environmental studies, issues and topics, **OR** One year of professional-level project management experience (environmental), **OR** Two years technical experience responsible for providing programmatic (environmental) support. Experience must include planning and project management abilities, strong organizational capabilities and decision-making skills **AND** Ability to: Communicate effectively to build and maintain relationships, work well independently and on diverse teams, research and organize information, and have basic demonstrated computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Good communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with representatives of government agencies, the private sector, members of the public, and internal staff, along with the ability to resolve controversial situations. Grant administration experience Good public speaking and presentation skills. Demonstrated technical writing skills. **Physical Requirements** Requires occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as file folders, ledgers, and small equipment. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. **Additional Requirements** A driver’s license is an essential function of this position. This requires possession of an unrestricted Class D Driver’s License. The job offer is contingent on confirmation of a valid driver’s license AND a satisfactory DLR check. Requires a Class D driver´s License: a single unit vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,000 pounds. This is a basic driver’s license. Operators may also tow vehicles/trailers as long as the gross combination weight does not exceed 26,000 pounds.
