Nova-Tech Engineering is adding a Business Product Owner for the Assembly areas due to continuous growth! The Assembly Business Product Owner is a critical role tasked with and responsible for maximizing the efforts of team members to build quality products. The success of this role depends on high levels of collaboration and communication with all stakeholders including the CEO, President, all other Business Product Owners, and the People & Culture team. In this role, the largest challenges are to balance inventory demand for existing product lines, determining how to manufacture additional new product lines in a timely manner, and ensuring that quality systems, stations, and modules are produced. As a Business Product Owner, you are expected to quickly earn a high level of Justified Autonomy by consistently positioning your teams and leaders to make the best decisions for Nova-Tech while demonstrating accountability to others. Another continued focus within this position will be to create and drive a culture of understanding the essence and value of any product requests to separate “wants” from “needs” and aims for consensus amongst stakeholders for the benefit of Nova Tech Engineering internal and external customers. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will help create and cast the company vision, while implementing long term objectives within your leadership teams and team members through the communication and support of corporate goals. As a Business Product Owner, you are expected to be a model of the company culture, values, and pillars, through your actions and communications. Summary of Core Responsibilities: + Develop and mentor the team of leaders to continuously refine and achieve a synchronized vision for the products of Nova-Tech that is in alignment with Nova-Tech’s pull system. + Accountability for product vision and strategy. + Accountability for the efficient utilization of Nova-Tech’s assembly team members. + Drive and maintain uncompromised product quality standards through ensuring quality is embedded in all we do and owned and understood by each team member; helping every individual understand that they are responsible for quality. + Collaborate with other Senior Leadership Team Members on alignment on long and short term organizational goals and objectives. Owns the 3-year & 1-year roadmap for the departments. + Ensure clear definition, communications, and accomplishment of goals and objectives. + Drive continuous improvement within the teams. + Balance tactics and strategy, guide teams towards achieving common long-term goals, while satisfying short-term tactical needs. + Coordinate prioritized release backlogs definition and maintenance (grooming). + Foster Nova Tech Engineering’s servant leadership culture through living and embracing NTE’s values and behaviors. + Provide a framework for team members to take ownership for their roles, growth, and abilities, which will ensure that we continually drive Autonomy throughout the organization. + Foster a culture of stewardship for the resources that are entrusted to them by looking at all sides of the cost of what we do in both time and materials Ideal Candidate Education, Skills and Experience: + EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of Electronics, Engineering, or Business and/or a minimum of eight to ten years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Product Owner Certification preferred or required within one year of employment. + INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to effectively respond to team members at all organizational levels. Strong self-motivation, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills required. Ability to lead through influence, without excessive authority. Ability to model NTE’s core values as a representative of the company. + LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate openly and concisely with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members at all organizational levels. + REASONING ABILITY: Must be well organized with extreme attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ensures confidentiality with staff members. + COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office and D365 knowledge required..
