For more information, visit hormelfoods.com . **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Reviewing inventory positions against demand forecasts and developing production plans for internal plants and co-manufacturing partners with focus on 0–13-week execution timeframes. Production plans will provide best-in-class service levels, while delivering plant and system efficiency. Production plans will consider controlling any future distress sales potential. + Communicate and execute these production plans to the plant schedulers, purchasing, and plant operations management. + Have an executable knowledge of all production plants to provide best in class scheduling to maintain weeks of coverage while controlling plant and company costs. + Partners with and creates a strong working relationship with co-manufacturing locations to provide or supplement supply. + Partners with Demand Planning, Marketing and Operations to create tactical, mid-, and long-term production plans to support customer orders, optimize inventory, and material procurement strategies. + Accountable for achievement of the company’s targeted customer service level results. + Identify new items and ensure that each item is properly set up in the production planning systems. Will also be responsible for ensuring all special situations such as label change, promotional packaging, or other unique item situations are fully understood and planned. + Assist with compiling, monitoring, and communicating recommendations during weekly S&OE planning meetings. + Identifies and communicates supply driven potential short falls as well as capacity excess for additional tonnage to organizational leaders. + Provide vacation/absence relief for supervisor and assist with special projects as needed that would include gathering data to support S&OE meetings. **QUALIFICATIONS:** **Required** + A bachelor’s degree or equivalent planning experience. + Ability to initiate appropriate action independently and efficiently. + Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy. + Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. + Detail focused, highly developed, and demonstrated organizational ability. + Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills: ability to communicate with clarity and diplomacy with time sensitive/challenging issues. + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, OP (Mainframe), WMS (AS400), Power Point, HDS, and ability to learn new end to end planning software. + Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. + Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa. **Preferred** + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and/or 3+ years of equivalent experience. **LOCATION:** Austin, MN or Willmar, MN **BENEFITS:** Hormel Foods offers an excellent benefits package.
