This position may allow for a hybrid work environment where the incumbent splits their time between the FUI Corporate Office and a home office/remote location. Areas of Accountability All areas of accountability to be delivered with GRIT - our values of Generosity, Relationships, Integrity, and Teamwork Internal Controls Financial & Tax Compliance Financial Audits (Internal & External) Budget (Prepare/Analyze) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors Maximize return and limit risk by effectively forecasting/managing cash flow, minimizing bank balances, and maximizing investments Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Responsible for FP&A, rolling forecasts, and other ad hoc financial analysis Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results Maintain financial staff by hiring, training, and coaching employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting and internal control systems, as well as software and supporting database Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description.
