We are looking for a Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist to join the team at Veteran's Home, in Montevideo, MN! Position Type: On-Call Wage Range: OT $50 - $60 / hour depending on experience COTA $30 - $40 / hour depending on experience Location: 2190 William Ave, Montevideo, MN 56265 OT/ COTA Responsibilities: + Assess & Evaluate Patients: Conduct evaluations to understand patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs affecting daily activities. + Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized intervention programs to improve independence in daily tasks and work-related functions. + Provide Therapeutic Activities: Guide patients through exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive device training to enhance motor skills and coordination. + Educate & Support Patients & Families: Provide patient and caregiver education such as but not limited to: coping strategies, home modifications, and techniques to improve quality of life and independence. + Monitor Progress & Adjust Plans: Track patient improvements, document progress, and modify treatment approaches as needed. + Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work with doctors, physical therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. + COTA - Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs). + COTA - Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans. + COTA - Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises. + COTA - Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. OT/ COTA Qualifications: + Must be a graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program and have a bachelor’s degree. + Must possess a current MN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License or Must possess a current Accredited MN Occupational Therapy (OTR) License + Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care. + Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. + Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
