Summary of PositionThe Quality Auditor role is responsible to ensure optimum product quality by utilizing the appropriate metrology instrumentation, sampling plans, and inspection procedures to verify products meet or exceed drawings and specification requirements.Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED is required.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.Basic knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspects, measures, and records results on any products before, during, and after processing.Using various quality tools such as sampling plans and statistical process control (SPC).Examines product visually with unaided eyes or with microscope to ensure products are machined properly.Measures products for proper print dimensions manually or with computer-aided measuring equipment.Records and verifies inspection data in electronic SPC system and prints SPC reports.Notifies Quality Manager of deviations from specifications and initiates NCMR's and Discrepant Material reports.Conducts a Set-Up Quality Audit for all job orders to ensure operator has proper documentation and materials. Reviews the Shop Pack to ascertain it is the proper purchase order, part, revision, material identification, and lot. Matches the blueprint revision letters and labels. Examines and measures initial run before authorizing a start in production.Conduct in-process inspections according to inspection plan to ensure processes comply to specification and reviewing SPC data.Conducts Final Inspection by visual examination and measurement in accordance with the sampling plan. Prints and reviews SPC reports per the work order. Authorizes shipping of product by verifying labels and certificate of compliance and signing the certificate of compliance.Perform gage R&R, and first articles, and may aide in validation data collection.Cross-trained in all Quality Department functions including receiving inspection, work order review, shipping verification, and other activities.Move MRB product to proper staging in ERP system.Perform other duties as directed.AMETEK is committed to making a safer, sustainable, and more productive world a reality.
