We are seeking intermittent Licensed Practial Nurses to join our growing nursing team.** This posting will be used to fill two (2) intermittent positions at the MVH-Montevideo. An intermittent employee works an irregular and uncertain schedule, based on the needs of the home. Intermittent employees must be available to work all shifts and some weekends. Shifts are: Day shift 6:00am-2:30pm, Evening shift 2:00pm-10:30pm, and Night shift 10pm-630am. Deliver licensed practical nursing (LPN) care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for cognitively and physically disabled residents. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well being, health, and safety of residents in a person-centered, long-term care environment. **Minimum Qualifications** + Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions + Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working in a long term care environment. + Experience working with Veterans **Additional Requirements** + A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on the top finalist for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check. + A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment. + Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists.
