Need 8 full time, seasonal, temporary workers to work in Madison, Lake Benton, Montevideo, Tracy, Elkton, Marietta, Canby and Bellingham in MN. From: 05/10/2025 - 12/31/2024,45 hr./ week, Mon. - Fri., 8:00am-5:00pm. Additional hours of work may be offered but not required. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 09/05/2024 Job Duties:Agricultural workers at hog barns will have the responsibility of installing and replacing machinery, equipment, and parts using both hand and power tools. They will adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other components using hand or power tools. Additionally, they will clean tools, work areas, and other objects using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment. Furthermore, they will apply protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion. These workers will also be tasked with positioning vehicles, machinery, and structures for assembly or installation, employing hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment. Moreover, they will assemble and maintain physical structures using either hand or power tools, ensuring efficient operations within the barn environment. Finally, they will disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment upon completion of repairs. Job Requirements: Lift 75lbs., Exposure to extreme temperatures, pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over and repetitive movements. Employer Assurances: EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
