Job Description This position assists in the overall optimization of rubber, plastic, and liquid silicone processing and supports basic manufacturing operator functions at all levels of the process. Team members are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment and support all initiatives of operations and quality systems to ensure customer quality and delivery requirements are met. Duties 1. Sets up molds and auxiliary equipment assuring setups are production ready. This includes quality parts made, documentation completed, issuing material to shop orders and press turned over to production. 2. Provides testing and sampling support to engineering as needed and provides input and feedback as necessary. 3. Follows existing manufacturing criteria assuring productivity rates and quality standards are beyond customer requirements. 4. Maintains a safe and clean work center including press cleanliness and part containment. 5. Interacts and works with Production and Engineering Technicians to resolve problems efficiently and effectively. 6. Accurately fills out maintenance work requests for equipment. 7. Performs other duties as assigned to support company values and objectives. Qualifications *Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. 1. A self-motivated, willing team player to assist in all functions to assure quality and delivery standards are met. 2. Ability to understand and then react to changes per SPC data, press and equipment controls and proper setup. 3. Physical capabilities involved with performing all job-related tasks. Must be able to lift/carry 55 lbs. 4. Willingness to initiate and participate in continuous improvement efforts which affects the entire organization. 5. Desire to increase personal skills enhancing contributions and compensation. 6. Previous production and setup experience is necessary.
