Duties: In spring and fall, supervise approximately 5 farmworkers for custom manure pumping operations. Prepare, maintain, clean, and operate machinery used to handle manure. Pump liquid manure into tanker applicators or hose system to move manure to fields. In August and September, supervise small crew of about 10-15 farmworkers for custom silage harvesting operations in SW Minnesota and Central South Dakota. Drive and operate forage harvester and/or silage trucks for custom silage operations. In winter, assist with scheduling, inventory, and contacting customers for silage and manure pumping jobs. Assist with preventative maintenance and general repair to silage and manure equipment. Perform all duties with little to no supervision. Other farming duties as assigned. Headquarters and majority of work in and near Hendricks, MN. Travel Details: HQ and most work in Hendricks, MN. Worksites in South Dakota and southwest MN. Travel from Hendricks, MN to farms in central South Dakota in spring and fall for custom silage work. Some overnights required for central South Dakota farms. Wage is $67,725/yr.
