There is no better time to be part of the growing, dynamic world of agriculture - let's help you find your fit.Sales AgronomistLocation:Belgrade, MNPosition Summary:The Sales Agronomist is involved in customer planning, sales, service, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and responsible for providing sound agronomic recommendations to our owner members. They will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork while displaying a professional image for the cooperative.Position Responsibilities:Manage and maintain a list of customers and prospects.Create and recommend specific agronomy programs to targeted accounts with the goal of increasing agronomy business while identifying all opportunities for growth.Regularly conduct sales calls on current grower members as well as making cold calls on potential new customers.Spend time with grower evaluating current year variety selection, pest control management, and in-season fertility.Maintain sales contracts/bookings and prepare a comprehensive annual sales plan.Manage sales in order to achieve target margins and product mix.Partner with the agronomy manager and agronomy sales to establish the agronomy budget.Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments, trends and regulations in the marketplace.Utilize the current CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool to log and organize sales call information.Position Qualifications:Associates or Bachelor's degree in agriculture related field, marketing, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.2 years of agronomy sales experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn other key operational computer programsAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingStrong analytical and decision making abilitiesAbility to remain goal-driven in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills including multi-tasking, planning, and prioritizingCertifications, Licenses, Registrations:Valid driver's licenseCDL with Haz Mat and other DOT qualifications for operation of a commercial motor vehicleCertified Crop Advisor certification desiredAgriculture background desirableCooperative Benefits:Competitive Wages, Sales Incentives, Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits, 401K, Paid Time Off, Ongoing Employee Training, Company Vehicle.If you have questions about how to apply, please call the HR Solution Center at 844-LOL-HR4U (844-565-4748) M-F 8:00am-4:30pm CT.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
