### Job Duties Start Date: 07/02/2026 End Date: 08/26/2026 Work hours: 45 hours/week, Monday - Saturday, 8 hours/day (5 hours/day on Saturdays), 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must Apply By: 07/30/2026 Job Duties: On farms, as carpenter-helpers, assist carpenters by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include using, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment. Duties include cleaning work areas, machines, or equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site. Fasten components together with glue, clamps, screws, bolts, nuts, pegs, or nails and install hardware. Select tools, equipment or materials from storage and transport items to work site. Drill holes and cut timbers, lumber or paneling to specified dimensions. Position and hold lumber or paneling in place for fastening or cutting. Align, straighten, plumb or square forms for installation. Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods or other equipment to aid in tie layout and establishing reference points and lines. Erect scaffolding, shoring or braces. Construct forms and assist in raising them to the required elevation. Install handrails under the direction of a carpenter. Smooth or sand surfaces to remove ridges, tool marks, glue or caulking. Secure stakes to grids for construction of footings, nail scabs to footing forms and place, vibrate and float concrete. Cut and install insulating or sound absorbing material. ### Minimum Education Required None. No High School Diploma or GED required. ### Minimum Experience Required One (1) month of livestock/poultry building framing required. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds Must be able to work in temperature extremes. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking or sitting is required. Frequent stooping or bending over is required. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
