Mission Sunday

Join missionary and Dakota descendants for worship and to celebrate the Lac qui Parle Mission during this annual event held the second Sunday in July. Worship service begins at 10:30 am with a guest pastor. The Dakota Ascension Choir will sing several hymns from the Dakota Odowan, and the entire congregation will sing the Dakota hymn “Lac qui Parle,” written by Joseph Renville.
A potluck picnic will follow at noon near the Lac qui Parle dam. Bring a dish to share, serving spoon and your own plate and utensils. Coffee and juice will be provided. At 1:30 pm, speakers will lead a program of reflection.
